An in-network dentist participates in a particular insurance network under an agreement with the insurer. For covered services, that agreement sets the fees used to calculate your benefits. Using an in-network provider may reduce your out-of-pocket cost, depending on your plan.
In network does not mean every service is free. Deductibles, coverage percentages, frequency limits and benefit maximums may still apply. Confirm the exact network and treating provider rather than relying on the insurer's name alone.
You can still choose Twelve Corners even when we are outside your dental plan's network. Many PPO plans include out-of-network benefits, although reimbursement and your share of the cost may differ. Some plans require participating providers and provide no benefit for routine care outside their network.

Can I use MetLife or Cigna at Twelve Corners?
Yes, we see patients with MetLife and Cigna dental plans outside the network. Contact us to confirm your plan's out-of-network benefits before your visit.
Does insurance cover my child's cleanings and exams?
Coverage depends on the policy. A preventive benefit can have limits on how often exams, cleanings or X-rays are covered. Ask about your child's remaining benefits and any applicable restrictions.
Does dental insurance cover braces?
Orthodontic benefits are separate from general dental benefits in many plans. Eligibility, age restrictions and a lifetime maximum may apply. A pediatric dental network does not by itself establish coverage for orthodontic treatment or a specific orthodontist.
What information should I provide?
Have your insurance card, member ID, group number and subscriber information ready. This helps us identify the type of care you are requesting and whether your child has another dental plan. This helps us identify the correct coverage.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
Ask our team about the Dental Savings Plan and available payment options. A savings membership is an alternative way to pay for care and is not dental insurance.
With out-of-network care, your insurer may calculate payment using an allowed amount rather than the dentist's full fee. You may be responsible for a deductible, coinsurance and any difference between the office fee and the amount recognized by your plan. A benefit estimate helps you plan, but final payment depends on the insurer's review of the claim.
We accept HSA and FSA payments for eligible expenses, credit and debit cards, CareCredit, checks and cash. We also offer financing arrangements through our office. These options can be used to pay for care without insurance or for the portion your dental plan does not cover.
Debit Cards
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that can be used for dental expenses at participating offices. It is separate from your insurance and does not require claim submission. Ask which financing options are available for your treatment and review the interest rate, repayment schedule and any promotional conditions before applying.
Can I combine insurance with HSA or FSA funds?
You may use your HSA or health FSA funds for eligible dental expenses that remain your responsibility after insurance. The same expense cannot be reimbursed twice. Confirm your account's rules and keep documentation of what you paid.
How do I choose between office financing and CareCredit?
Compare the written terms, payment amounts, total cost and any approval requirements. Office financing is arranged directly with your practice; CareCredit is a separate credit product. Contact us to discuss the available options for your treatment plan.
FSA & HSA
A Health Savings Account (HSA) lets eligible account holders use pre-tax savings for qualified health expenses. A health Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an employer benefit that can help pay eligible expenses with pretax funds. Many dental care expenses qualify. Confirm eligibility with your account administrator and keep your receipts. These accounts are payment resources, not dental insurance.
Office Financing
Ask about financing and payment arrangements managed directly by our office. Our team can discuss any down payment, payment schedule, interest or fees that may apply. Availability and terms are determined by the office and confirmed before you arrange a payment agreement.
Cash & Checks
We also accept checks and cash. Ask our team about the amount due and check payment details before your visit. These methods pay the office directly and do not provide financing.
